D&D Cartoon - We have a release date in the US!

They didnt keep the entire 'Artifact components' aspect of the kid's weapons, huh?

I bet they'd make great Legacy items, though.

They made all the kids too competent. That is one of the issues.. I don't buy any of them as level 7 - especially Hank who would not have gotten spells. But you have to explain how they survived somehow.. and credit them for doing so I guess. DM caveat is not something you can work into a character. You should see all the other items they have that I didn't list - they kitted them out like average 7th level characters and in some cases their gear could easily overshadow their special weapons.

This sounds like I'm complaining, I don't mean to - I just see potential here and wish they had done more, though I'm pleased they did what they did - I think i might run the adventure as a one shot soon.

As for Requiem - Well they have a really cheesy radio play with far too much announcer interjection. Its clear the producers don't quite know how to do a good radio teleplay. That said it was nice to hear the dialog spoken. I wish some animation college would ask for permission to produce that script for the senior class project.. it'd be great to actually see it animated though I suppose that is unlikely.. hmm if i ever go that route with my studies I may just suggest it:)

I really wish Hasbro would do something like this for the direct to video market.. it'd be nice to have a gateway product to replicate the cartoon that caught and held my love of the game and its concepts. My kids watched a few episodes with me last night and were enjoying it a lot.
By the final episodes they were actually quite competent (check out the faerie dragon episode). But I think Presto should´ve been a conjurer more so than an evoker. I mean, he'd summon a cow when trying to get milk, and stuff like that.

No, but I think you may have something there with the Legacy item concept. Time to crack out the Weapons of Legacy book and put it to use I guess:)

I'm beginning to think about doing a series netbook.. something fan centered and fun, maybe with places and plot hooks outlined... hmm..

Oh, and Diana's staff could just be a +2 throwing returning ki strike quarterstaff that can become a reach weapon instead of a double one upon command, and adds +10 to Balance and Jump checks.

I completely agree. Presto was primarily a conjurer. He didn't cast spells as so much pull the effects out of his hat - which fit with the character concept of a neophyte stage magician.

Just as Diana was an athlete so she became the Acrobat. Eric was a spoiled coward with a heart of gold - so his weapon was defensive in nature, Bobby was a hot headed kid - hence Barbarian. Sheila didn't want to be noticed, she was the mother hen/damsel in distress type so the rogue actually fit her and Hank was the leader, strong trailblazer - hence his Ranger nature. Mark Evanier really did distill the main cast down into archetypes well.

Yeah, there are a number of ways to build the abilities of the items.. that one actually fits better since in a number of episodes you see the staff return to her after she drops it or swings from it.

By the way, the D&D monster shadow demon which was one of baddies in the cartoon was originally created by EN World's very own Plane Sailing.

And I'm posting from the yacht that I bought on the royalties...

Just bought my copy with a bonus figurine at Best Buy. I'm looking forward to watch it real soon.

Is this figurine standard, or only available at certain retailers?? What is it? A D&D plastic mini, or a pewter figurine, or . . . WHO is it?? Venger? Tiamat!?!? (I wish).
