D&D Encounters: Bad Pregen editing

On Puget Sound

First Post
My pregenerated drow warlock for D&D Encounters had:
HP23, bloodied at 13, healing surge value 5. Should have been bloodied at 11.
A 3rd at-will, the Paladin power Holy Strike. (Maybe it was really a half-drow dilettante?)

Were others similarly odd?

The Gameday pre-gens were off too. I had a Perception of +15, then my Passive was 16. Wha? That was on the Minotaur Runepriest. It didn't ruin my fun though.

Hang on though Dice4Hire. Here's one place where the pregens SHOULD be spot on. After all, aren't they using the Character Builder same as everyone else? Crap like that would not happen if you use the tools that are available. I gave WOTC and pretty much everyone else a free pass in 3e when it came to stat blocks because, as you say, it's very easy to make a mistake.

But in 4e? When you have a really nifty program right there that does EVERYTHING? There's no excuse for that.

Well, maybe the writers don't have a DDI sub. :p

I'm with Hussar here; Character Builder does "The Math" for you, there is NO reason for many of these problems Esp giving a drow warlock "holy strike?"

Of course, this isn't new. People were complaining about Pre-Gen math as far back as the 4e pre-release at XP. You'd think 2 years and 3 PHBs later, they'd have figured out what powers go with what classes...

Not a good way to show off your product WotC.

The Runepriest actually had the Seeker's skills. Obviously a printer/editing error.

The only other error we found was the Battlemind had a surge value of 15 instead of 17.

I haven't seen the Encounters pregens.
