D&D game table

I hope dice rolling will not just be able to be done without the graphics, but that you can set up the "sword swing with power attack for 4" and click one button and get the result and damage (and crit) all at once.

Maybe even a response from the monster you attacked whether you hit it or not.

You get that attack descriptor now (and more) with Fantasy Grounds II. If you have a creature with 7 attacks, you can roll them all at once (huge time saver). It doesn't really have anything to do with rules per se, more like a macro functionality. There is no reaction or response from the monster because it's entirely DM controlled. I would expect this in the new gametable as well.

How about things like Enlarge Person... will there be a facility to increase the size of the mini dynamically? I *really* like the lighting effect on the mini, it would be nice to extend that to other things too, like darkvision, effect templates (e.g. magic circle) and so on.

Also, what about blast templates for things like cone and burst effects? A measuring tool to quickly determine distance?

Personally I really don't see how 20 dollars a month is going to break the bank. It costs more to go see a movie for two and buy snacks... 2hrs of entertainment vs. a whole month? Seriously, if 20 dollars is a problem... then I don't know what to tell you.

My wife and I each have a WoW subscription by the way, for which we pay *gasp* 30 dollars a month!

It depends on your lifestyle, doesn't it? I support my wife and child on a single, relatively meager income, so I have to prioritize. You have a good point about the value of the entertainment, dollars versus hours. However, only one of us would actually be interested in content beyond the virtual gaming table, so I think there ought to be a discounted price for that sort of gamer. ;)

I'd hope so too. It has to be at least as good as FGII or OpenRPG or whats the point.
