But I'm pleased that they offer a free period to peruse the online content. Maybe I will be impressed and decide its worth paying full price. I think it's a move in the right direction, thank you Wizards. This will help me in making a truly informed decision.
That's probably true. I can see room for early Eberron support (it was promised that this would happen soon), but beyond FR and Eberron, there doesn't seem to be any really important settings supported by WotC.Jer said:We'll see - $15/month is still too much for me to afford at this point in my life. And the settings I care about (e.g. non-FR settings) probably won't be seeing much support during the public beta period.

They explicitly stated that it won't be available at launch. Better to wait a few months than to get a bug-ridden application, though...Delgar said:Anyone else get the feeling from this that the game table won't be available from launch?

All in fun. If you were to go back through my posts of the last 8-12 months, you'd find that I've been consistently positive about both the DDI and Dragon and Dungeon going digital.Charwoman Gene said:Wow. WotC is going to be doing in public playtesting for upcoming classes and people harp on a bit of murky English. The playtest stuff is obviously not fully developed. But it is basically developed and designed to be canon and that is freaking cool.

I like the idea of getting a month or two of free preview for the two e-zines and especially the rules compendium.
