Legend
It was always supposed to be a book. The projects Ray had to confirm would be print, and not digital, were the two revived settings that are coming in a "never before used" format.
I still don't know if it was confirmed to be a book or just assumed to be, ie. I don't remember if he said the the Oct. release a book Wyatt is working on or just a product...and I am to lazy to look it up.

He had used words like "project" or "product" previously, so this is a minor confirmation, even if we were all working under the operating assumption that Wyatt was working on a book.

We are already getting a setting in the Strixhaven book, and an adventure in the Witchlight book, so as most speculation is trending, this mystery book will be a player options and monster book, similar to Volo's or Mordenkainen's. Anything Dark Sun is likely one of the revived settings coming in 2022 or 2023.

Sorry… honest question. Why do you not think that it could not be that exact module?

Mostly because it's a module not produced by either WotC or TSR (the original, not these knockoffs).

I find it unlikely that B Dave would go to the D&D Team and say "Hey, that game you want me to host for your biggest event of the year... can I use a module that's very old but also one you didn't make?" Seems like something they wouldn't approve of.

Plus, it's an old school dungeon which I don't think translates well to these streaming events.

Space Jam Confirmed
At these events in the past, DMs have run all sorts of stuff that has not been official WotC material for these celebrity games.

However, I doubt it’s the original Palace of the Vampire Queen simply because that adventure is too long to run in the time available.

As much as I would love to see Dark Sun this year, this book won't be Dark Sun. If I remember correctly, the next two classic settings are releasing next year.

Monster book with lots of dragons is very likely!

According to Wikipedia, it was initially distributed by TSR though.

Oh! That might make it a bit more likely. I still doubt it, just because it's a big dungeon and I don't think they'd be able to do more than a fraction of it, and these games tend to want a more conclusive end. But that explains why they at least allowed the name.
