I wonder if WotC pays for each mini sculpture by the vertical inch. Maybe they can save money by using shorter figures.

Or maybe the dwarven race is more important to the various settings than any of us ever realized.

Well, these are not exactly Dwarves... Plus, if dwarves had always been uncommon, you might have ended up having a small army of all-different dwarves, which would have been nicer IMO than multiple copies of the same sculpt.

BTW, not to hijack the thread but... what is "Tome of Battle"???

I was running a game two weeks ago and I used Kord to represent enlarged Duergar. Of course Kord is a scary looking mini and my players were a little let down that the enlarged Duergar was not much of a fight. I was saying that we needed something like this so the DM in me is very happy.

The enlarged duergar and derro are both good figs to have in the mix ... but right on the heels of "Aarrrgh Dwarves!" it is pretty funny.

I wonder how many drow and skeletal humanoids will be in this set? :p

Even though I think there has been enough dwarves for now I don't really care about a couple more.
But I wish they could have led off with some more exciting figs out of the set.

Okay, here's my thought. Good lord, do they need to put out another set? How many more do they expect people to buy? I know I am getting pretty tired of the whole setup. Why not do something novel and sell some 3d terrain or something? I just think the number of sets they are doing is getting ridiculous.

Sorry, didn't mean to rain on the parade here.
