D&d Minis Hurrayyy!

My guess would be, because of people like you, who are trying to convince everyone the crappy D&D minis are good for us. Cheap plastic minis for the masses! ;)

"NOT FOR YOU."

Do you think that line is a solution? Is it supposed to convince someone? It's not an aswer, it's the root of the freakin' problem. Some of us want good quality, D&D specific minis, and we're not being catered to, because WotC can instead sell cheap junk to certain other people. I figure that makes you the enemy. :D

I personally think there are more D&D players out there who DON'T like to paint minis and who would LIKE this kind of thing. These truthfully AREN'T for the hardcore mini fans...in fact, they aren't really for people that paint mini's at all. They're for the people that love CMGs and D&D players who hate to paint mini's...and for D&D players that love to paint mini's but don't have the money.

But everything WotC has ever said indicates that this is never going to happen. Why? because they can't make money at it. And people like me weren't buying minis before hand because I never paint/assemble them, so it's not like we're abandoning the minis you want for these, we never got those in the first place!

So give it up. Ain't nver going to happen otheriwse WotC would have licsensed off the DnD monsters ages ago.

You weren't paying attention, were you? The question was, why do some people complain about this mini line, not whether they're a minority and should be ignored.

And if you think anyone who really likes to paint minis is going to buy this junk, please send me a baggie of whathever you're smoking... ;) Hmm... $10 for a booster pack mystery crap, or $10 for three high-quality Reaper minis I can carefully select to make sure I'm getting my money's worth, because I don't have that much to spend? Decisions, decisions...

Sure, but as has been said, you're not the target market, so WotC could care less if you're not going to buy them.

WotC don't have some duty to make minis for you. You might wish they would, but they're not going to.

MMU1, if you'd argue along the lines of "I don't like the D&D miniatures because I want D&D specific monsters in metal", you'd have a point.

But that hasn't been your argument. Your argument has been "They look bad" and "I don't like random packaging".

Both of which are solved by using Reaper (or similar) miniatures.

Cheers!

So you're basically saying that the best way to get what I want is to give up and accept the status quo? Hmm... Do you have a baggie for me? ;)

"Some of us want good quality, D&D specific minis..."

Do you have a reason for assuming I don't in fact want what I say I want?

No I'm saying you can want it as much as you like, but it isn't going to happen. So you may as well be smoking, cos it's as good a use of your time as waiting for pie in the sky minis lines from WotC.

There's really no need to get all  about it. I'm willing to wait and see if they change their approach if their second attempt to make miniatures goes under. Just because a corporation claims something is true...
