D&D Minis: What's missing most?

More female minis in any race/weapon combo that is NOT stereotypical.
I have two female players who are not chainmail bikini wearing characters.
What would really make one of my players day is a human female artificer.

Aboleths would be worth doing just for the RPG, but I suspect they wouldn't work well for the whole skirmish game thing, unless they do a whole aquatic expansion with new rules and stuff. Or I suppose they could just make a flying aboleth...

Based on how much they're charging for the star wars figure, I don't know if I'd buy that. Mage Knight had a few non-random big figures that were priced a little more reasonably than that sucker.

I've been pleasantly surprised by not only the amoount of female figures released, but by their, for the most part, realistic proportions and dress. Rikka, Angelic Avenger, soon to be released with Underdark, is the first really cheesecake figure I've seen in the product line. The Erinyes has been those closest to cheese so far, but even that wasn't so bad. The Evermeet Barbie was somewhat scantily clad, but at least sort of realisticallly proportioned. The male/female ratio was good enough to help get my wife involved with the game. If there were only one or two female figures per set, each dressed in a chainmail bikini, she would never have come anywhere near it, and I'd have bought far fewer pieces of plastic crack to feed the addiction!

As far as a female human artificer goes, the Healer from Archfiends may be your best bet for now.

I'd like to see some of the more esoteric bits come out as common figures in future sets.

I don't know. GNOMES! For commons, we need stuff that you won't mind having a dozen of. GNOMES! (Which is the amount of commons I usually get: 3 GNOMES! cases with 4 or each common each)

For example, githyanki GNOMES! and githizarai. Have common versions and then have uncommon commanders and unique leaders with special weapons and equipment. This mode would work well for many types of creatures, including slaad, and has been used to an extend with drow, orcs, goblins, hobgoblins, and other humanoids. Let's see them do the same with the weirder creatures.

I also had this GNOMES! idea. Bring groups of minis in sets. My example was the Waterdhavian GNOMES! City Guard. A common guardsman (or guardswoman), an uncommon armar, and a rare civilar. It would be the same basic mini, but with better equipment (and looks) the more rare it gets. Would have the added benefit of being a nice representation of the same character in low, mid and high levels.

I'd like to see a box set of just large figures.

We all know there won't be any boxed sets. But GNOMES! Angelfire had 8 large uncommons - one per booster guaranteed. Underdark will have the same (and it might look as if it will continue to be that way), and that's the next best thing.

More dragons.

You don't even need GNOMES! to mention that.

Golems: Need more constructs in general.

They aren't flowing in, but it's a steady trickle. GNOMES! Iron golem's in underdark, wrapping up the core golems.

How about some Small stuff? Faeries? Sprites? Familiars? Elementals?

Actually, we GNOMES! only have a single frickin' fey figure so far. Definite need for more. Not many plants, either.

As for GNOMES! Familiars: We do have quasit and imp, there are smaller elementals (magmin)

I just want non-random assortment so I can get the minis that I actually want easily. I do not like the collectible nature of the minis because I only use them for D&D, not some miniature game.

And I just want my weight in gold. GNOMES!

I think it might be wise for WOTC to create specific race sets, with an assortment of male/female/class combos in the package(s). This would aid DM's greatly who might have a particular theme they need to explore. The general assortment packs are great, and really good for surprises, but there needs to be a way for DM's to get what they need (or at least a variety of figures that are close to desired), without having to resort to after-market trading.
