I think Perkins has had a massive influence over 5e by editing if not writing most of the Adventure books that have made 5e so successful. He deserves to be on this list because of Curse of Strahd if nothing else. I also came across several of his dungeon adventures back in the days of 2nd Ed. I didn’t even know he was writing back then.

He balances longevity with being current/up to date and having a big impact on the game. I’m happy he’s doing well.

Funny, I mostly know him just from his days submitting to and then editing Dungeon and tended to not like his scenarios that much back then. I had a letter published in the late 90s in either Dragon or Dungeon - don't remember now - which I signed as "The Anti-Perkins" I don't even remember the content of the letter! (probably embarrassing). I wish I could find it.
