D&D Video Gaming News - Hasbro sues for breach of contact by Atari

I'd be happy with a D&D game that didn't try to mimic any ruleset, I'd just be happy with the races, monsters, and settings.

That way, everyone is happy, and folks that don't normally play D&D might become interested just for the fluff.

TOEE, when patched, is absolutely bloody awesome sauce! :)
I preffer 4th ed now, but since the CPU takes the boring stuff out of 3rd ed (for my tastes), it leaves you with all the great tactical fun, so combat is really, really sweet.

if they could take Dragon Age origin graphics + voice work + plotting + turn based D&D, you wouldn't see me for months, lol ;)

Dragon Age was originally coded to be another D&D license, way back in the early stages. Bioware chose not to renew it, apparently because wizards was too strict with the intellectual property after 4e arose.

This is what Bioware is hoping for by approaching Green Ronin to take a lisence. Apparently the developers liked M&M so much they thought Green Ronin was best for the license. I am glad Green Ronin is doing that, but I think they might have dropped the ball on the release. It really should have been parallel it seems. I was really into the Dragon Age game and now I have played through twice, and I am back into Pathfinder, my anxiousness for the table top release is gone.

Anecdotally I think this is the case with alot of fans of Dragon Age. I agree with Umbran above that the people in business know their business, but I cannot help but think that Green Ronin made a vital mistake in releasing the game later. They should of released the Dragon Age Table top at least within that first month to ride the wave of excitement. Some gamers will wait for it, others will forget about it.
