In D&D I don't waste time with women (romance, sex); they are not worth the effort.
In real life women don't waste time with me (romance, sex); I am not worth the effort.
In D&D all I have to care is about the action and drama.
In real life, you should better cease to stop thinking about it, there is so many things to do before: pay the bill, go to the bathroom, take the train to go to work, etc.

In D&D, I voluntarily spend hours and hours reading dust-covered spellbooks and ancient manuscripts.
In real life, I can't make myself read a learner's manual even to save my life...

In D&D I tend to be the voice of reason, saying not to do something
In real life, people say I'm impulsive and crazy, these same people say they'll never ride a vehicle I'm driving (but there's no accidents on my record)

In D&D, characters can skip hours, days, weeks, even years to get to the next exciting thing.
In real life, we have to sit through hours, days, weeks, even years of uninterrupted boredom to get to the next exciting thing.
In D&D, the DM occasionally agrees with a player and the character suddenly has things go his way.
In real life, this never happens.
