D&D Wargaming *ARMIES OF EVIL*

Hmm, I'm guessing Fierari will agree with you, so I'll take it down a notch. I'm dropping Disjunction and Unholy Aura and lower the SR down to 30. Less broken now?

Her, Pyrex? Why do you think I'm a woman?

Doh! Sorry. Guess you just do too good a job with the Matron. :D

I guess I should know better given that I'm also playing a female drow in the same game. :uhoh:

Your SR should be somewhere between 10+HD and 10+CR.

Also the caster level for your SP abilities shouldn't exceed your CR. (which makes it hard to have 9th lvl SP's)

I think that right there will balance you just fine.

Spell resistance is only reliably useful above a certain level. If I lower it too far I might as well drop it all together and pick up a level of Blackguard instead.

I'll bump up the CR to 17 by adding a couple of points to ability scores and HDs, make that the caster level and keep my 9th level spells. Is that better?

Thanks for the compliment :)

SR 25 is pretty solid. It's impenetrable to any caster except (some of) the generals and still works at least 1/3 of the time against them.

Our CR cap is 15, so that won't work (in fact, you're already over).

minutes (the detached piece dies and decays normally). The creature can
reattach the severed member instantly by holding it to the stump.

Telepathy (Su): Shadowlords can communicate telepathically with creatures
within 100 feet that speak any language spoken by the shadowlord.

What about the 18th level druid? And the CR 23(?) Dragonghost?

The 18th level druid is unequipped, making him CR 15.

The dragon started play at CR 15 and later had a template applied.

If we compare to a CR 15 (lvl 18) sorcerer you're still better in pretty much every way.
-Deific stats (+16 Cha!!)
-More 9th lvl spells per day
-More hp
-More skills
-Better bab
-Better special abilities.
You're packing too much into too little CR.

-Less versatility
-Lacks the best 9th level spells (Shapechange, Gate, Disjunction)
-His bab does not synergise with his sla's
-Low HD's makes him vulnerable to Holy Word etc.
-lower ranks in important skills
-Cannot be raised
-Can be banished

You've got some good points there, but I think that Shades and Greater Shadow Evocation both at will is both very powerful and amazingly versatile.

Even though his bab doesn't synergize with his SP's, he's still a credible melee threat.

The cannot be raised/can be banished is the cost of being immune to all the xxx Person spells.
