D&D Wargaming *ARMIES OF GOOD*

Makes me kind of glad I used the method of transport that I ended up choosing. I guess I'll still need to ward my ship against dimensional travel and scrying, though.

Here's what I came up with.

War Machine
Medium Construct
Hit Dice: 1d10 (30 hp)
Initiative: +0 (+0 Dex)
Speed: 30 feet, fly 60 ft clumsy
Armor Class: 10 (+0 Dex)
Base Attack/Grapple: +0/+0
Space/Reach: 5 ft./5 ft.
Special Attacks: breath weapon 5d6, 30 ft cone, once every d4 rnds
Special Qualities: Construct traits, damage reduction 6/adamantine, fast healing 5, greater teleport 2/day
Feats: Recover Breath
Saves: Fort +0, Ref +0, Will +0
Abilities: Str 10, Dex 10, Con -, Int 10, Wis 10, Cha 10
Points: 4.4 max

+2.4 type
+0.2 flight, clumsy
+0.5 breath weapon, 5d6 sonic
+0.375 fast healing 5
+0.45 1 HD
+0.182 greater teleport 2/day
+0.3 damage reduction
total: 4.407

Does this look alright? I think I'm doing something wrong, it looks kind of weak for being a CR 4.407.....

Thanks, I've made the changes. I hear alot of talk about "using the fourth column." I've looked through the pdf and haven't seen this. Could someone tell me where it is, or don't I need it?

Fieari: Could I turn my troops into cyborgs? I know it's a technological impossability at this point, but with magic......

EDIT: Nevermind I see it. But does it affect my creature? All the CR's in the fourth column are lower, so how much should mine be lower?

Fourth column is "Silver Rule, Rounded Down"... first apply the golden rule, described at the top, then multiply by 0.85 to account for the fact that PC classes are on average, 15% better than all monsters, and then round down.

It's not impatience, it's reminding me to look back at older stuff I skipped because the blasted assasination attempt stole eight hours of my life away :p

I assume this is what you refer to:
For my stronghold, could it be an enormous oak tree rising out of a moat-like lake in the middle of a forest? Preferably with rooms in the tree (warp wood created or such, so as not to harm the tree) and rooms outside, along the trunk and branches. Iono too much about the rest of the specifics, probably whatever you think would be good.
How about I add a small wooded island to the middle of Feather Lake... about 6 miles in diameter. Fortress as you described in the middle of it all. That works for me... you'll want forbiddance, of course.

Actually... I'm going to make Forbiddance MANDATORY for all strongholds from now on. Everyone MUST have it. I can't handle another assasination attempt in the middle of a fortress like that! I just can't do it! ;)

Does the mandatory Forbiddance mean we don't have to pay for it and it's automatically included? (*crosses fingers* *really doesn't want to have to recalc equipment* ;) )
