Staying on the shield is a balance check; I'd call it DC 35. Failure means you get no attacks. Failure by 5 or more means you face-plant and take falling damage.FireLance said:Hi Larcen, if you do a D&D Word Puzzle 2, how about one based on Legolas' (in)famous "surf down the stairs on a shield while firing arrows" trick? I'm curious to know how other people would rule this.
AuraSeer said:Ever try to skateboard down stairs? With a large object in your hands? While not looking where you're going? I wouldn't put the DC any lower than 30. I still think it's cinematic, since Legolas appears to have epic ranks in the Balance skill (and Ride (horse) too, of course).
That's just me, though.
Larcen said:EDIT: I was just thinking about it, and I can see your point more. If EVERYBODY has a chance of doing this, what would be the big deal when Legolas does it? Kinda takes away from the awesomeness that is Him.
Larcen said:#12 Since Nytin has arrived, Evaldood now just wants to get out of Dodgeville. However, the only exit from the dungeon is directly behind Nytin. More of out desperation than sanity, he throws caution to the wind and attempts to bowl over Nytin, run thru the door, slam it shut, and hopefully bar the door from other side while Nytin is getting back to his feet.
He needs to make a Full Attack and move, and unless there is a Feat that allows you to do this, he's stuck with one shot even with Shot on the Run.
