[D&D3.5] Paths of Legend: The Azgundi Tournaments (OOC)

Alaric the Alchemist, freshly returned from the expedition to Silvergard, checking in! ^_^

He will most definitely compete in the drinking contest, alongside his dwarven pal Muzdum I suspect! :D

And maybe some of the other competitions....almost certainly Castles, possibly dueling, debate, oratory, or something else....maybe even a brief stint in the archery contest despite his total lack of archery skills! Cat's Grace and Magic Weapon ought to at least compensate for the nonproficiency penalty...mostly...heheh.... Of course, whether or not he competes in dueling depends on the tourney's rules for dueling, since he's reliant on spells and alchemy for everything short of crossbow use.

Naturally, he'll be stirring up *COUGH*COUGH*AHEM* looking into any suspicious (aka possibly exciting, aka probably dangerous) activity around the tournaments, as well....

Anyway....I'll post Alaric's updated sheet sometime during the weekend. Busy tonight with other games and TV. :p

By the way, forgot to ask..... I don't remember what the special background bit or requirement was regarding psionic PCs, but it crossed my mind that maybe Alaric could become a Cerebremancer later on (PrC in the XPH) if he multiclassed into Psion or similar.....just a thought. He's not exactly the most consistent/disciplined wizard, anyway. So I thought I'd ask about that.

Welcome aboard, Arkhandus. :D

[sblock=Regarding Psionics]Psionic characters gain their psionic ability not from in born ability but through being granted a fragment of the consciousness of the One Mind. Thus the One Mind experiences the world without having to leave the Awakened Lands. When the psionic individual dies, their fragment of the One Mind rejoins the greater whole.[/sblock]

Johen, a young tureni druid and Highflyer his hawk companion register to the Azgund tournament.

The crowd and noises of the city seem to make the pair slightly unconfortable and nervous.

Welcome, Amaury. :D If you could link to Johen's character sheet, that would be fantastic.

In other news...

Description: 6’3” tall, 190#. Shoulder-length blonde hair, clean-shaven. Blue eyes. Appears serious and thoughtful. He is tall and obviously athletic. A rough and ready woodsman, he is a man of few words, who values honor, dignity, and great passion. He wears a forest-green cloak over a glittering mail-shirt, dark clothing and high boots. His weapons- long sword, throwing axe, knife, and bow – are kept in excellent condition and always close to hand. DOB: 08/12/1127

Background: Valen was born and raised in Aranost, the northernmost province of the kingdom of Turen. He grew quick and strong, and from the first was drawn to the beauty of nature. Woodcraft came naturally to him, as did swordplay and archery. His skills and loner’s temperament led him to become one of the rangers of Turen, silent hunters and fierce warriors who stalked brigands and other evil beings through the wilderness.
He is also driven by another motive: One of the final battles in the Shadow War was fought in his home province. Aranost was destroyed, and his father and older brothers fell in its defense. He is determined to do everything in his power to protect his people from such tragedies. (outlook similar to the Vigils of Vesh from the Scarred Lands setting)
He has worked as a guide and bounty hunter throughout Turen, the northern borderlands and even into Azgund for the past year or so. Despite his martial skills, to date Valen has refused to work as a mercenary soldier, as the thought of taking orders for money is not to his liking.
