[D&D3.5] Paths of Legend: The Azgundi Tournaments (OOC)

I'll post Alaric's updated sheet after I get an answer to the following:
would Alaric need to pay Entan or the Guild to study and copy spells from his/their spellbooks? Or just pay the 100 gp/page price for inscription? I forget if we addressed this earlier or not.

Alaric's gold is going towards learning some extra spells, making a few more alchemical items, scribing a few more scrolls, and getting a few potions. But I need to know first how much he'll be paying to expand his spellbook's repertoire.

Half-Ogre sounds good. Rather than do a one-level Savage Species style progression, since the half-ogre is LA 1, go ahead and just make him with one regular character level.

Arkhandus, the Adventurer's Guild is in the process of establishing a magical school just outside the capital, known simply as the Arcane Academy. Entan is in charge of this effort at the moment and is more than willing to share his spellbook (and those of the other initial members of the Arcane Order) in exchange for help with some of the construction and other tasks during Alaric's two months of downtime. Entan is also looking for instructors for the school and offers Alaric membership in the Arcane Order in exchange for spending a few semesters as an instructor during the Adventurer's Guild off-season (winter).

If i can find the (Azgundian) swashbuckler then that,or the (Turan)scout

by the way, it is listed that 2nd level hp is to be average for the die, then would that mean first level hp are max?
 

How come the characters posted are all level 3 and have equipment worth lots more than 900 gp?

Anyway this is the basic idea of my character

race: half ogre
class: fighter
feats: improved unarmed strike, grapple
ac 20 (9+7 half plate+4 natural+1 dex)
hp 14

str 24
dex 12
con 18
int 6
wis 8
cha 6

great axe +8 to hit 3d6+10
grapple 16 grapple damage 1d6+1d8+10 (includes spiked armor)


Seems to me that he will have to level up fast to be able keep up with the others.

Scott DeWar, welcome aboard and you are correct. Players from Tragedy at Silvergard coming into this game made it to level 3 in that game.

Voda Vosa, the Bracers of Armor won't stack with regular armor (they both provide an armor bonus).

Scott DeWar, Swashbucklers and Scouts both originate in Azgund and came about during the Shadow War, Swashbucklers as apprentices of the legendary Duelists and Scouts as a more military focused version of Tureni and Elven Rangers.

Bedford, looks good so far. Will need a bit more of course, and a background.
 

I really am thinking a swashbuckler ( but not neccessarily a tournament type)

Edit : I will be working on a character for the rest of the evening and will post info in chunks
