Private Stander seemed very much conscious, but not anything more than that. He struggled to focus his eyes in the direction of Private Kneeler's speech.

Addressing her passenger, Eternity says quietly, "Anything you know about that? What is that sickness your friend is speaking of?"

 

[Patlin]

"Our information suggests that Fallon is behind the current problems, which it has generated as an excuse to invade Duvik."

 

[El Jefe]

Private Stander coughed and groaned, but did not speak. His weariness showed in his eyes.

Eternity nods, she is concerned about the man, and does not want to alert Zaeryl or Almayce as to his condition.

 

[El Jefe]

Private Kneeler looked as if someone had just punched him in the belly. "Are you daft?, he asked. He paused for a few moments, as if gathering his thoughts, then continued. "You can't be serious. If you believe guff like that, there's no helping you. And no point to you giving me the interrogation."[sblock=Almayce]Thoughts you pick up include, "Is he crazy?", "What kind of crazy @#%&$ would believe that?", "Maybe he's just pulling my thread", "What if someone actually told him that?", and "He would be a total fool to believe that".[/sblock]

 

[Patlin]

"You know, you'd be a lot less obnoxious if you stuck with name, rank, and serial number. Isn't that in the training manual over in Fallon? If what your saying turns out to be true, we'll be able to release you soon. Try not to create any new problems till we get the information we need, eh?"

 

[Rystil Arden]

"Even if Fallon didn't cause the problem, the opportunistic invasion certainly is not helping Duvik," Zaeryl points out to Ironwolf.

 

[El Jefe]

The soldier opened his mouth to speak, then thought better of it. "The answer to your last question is 'No'. What else do you need before you can let us go?"[sblock=Almayce]You pick up, "What an &%$*#", "Aww...he's got the upper hand, might as well play his game", "We didn't cause this", and "I hope he lets us go".[/sblock]

 

[Patlin]

Ironwolf doesn't bother to reply to the soldier.

"If you keep talking, I'm going to gag you. If you'd rather avoid having a mouthfull of dirty sock, you might want to be quiet."
