Yeah, and we had said Michael was going to do the talking, too!

Patlin said:ooc: Other than hoping for a response to this question, which Ironwolf sent his psicrystal, Ironwolf is more than ready to confront the soldiers. If no answer is forthcoming, or if the answer is that the crystal doesn't know, Ironwolf will march in beside Michael, letting the Cleric speak.
At the first spark of violence, if there is one, Ironwolf will manifest Expansion, spending 2 extra power points (total: 3) to obtain the longer duration. That will leave him with 2 of 6 pp remaining.
Initiative, if needed: 8
As best Ironwolf could tell, his psicrystal could "hear" three distinct voices, but no more. It's other senses were thwarted by the "container" it was in, most likely a sack or a piece of cloth wrapped around it.Patlin said:This is still Ironwolf's plan. The question of the psicrystal had been "How many of them are there?"
Rystil Arden said:"Everyone, if you insist on wasting the surprise, then at least prepare an attack to kill them all before they can alert a larger force and ruin our chances at saving the town."
OoC: Well, that depends. Is Ironwolf going to expand and then walk down the slope, or is he going to expand once some particular thing happens? If the thing that triggers his action is something that wouldn't ordinarily constitute "combat", then effectively Ironwolf's triggered action intiates the combat and everyone else is reacting to that. On the other hand, if it's something like "If one of the soldiers attacks, I'll expand", then yes, I'd ask you to roll initiative.Patlin said:ooc: Well, I don't normally allow my players to ready an action before initiatives, but if El Jefe differs in this respect Ironwolf is ready to expand.
