The Stonepike Mountains

Round 11 - New, with update for Michael! And Hulgyr! - Eternity up[sblock=Michael, Hulgyr, Almayce: ]- Michael got on his horsey and listened to hear what he could hear[sblock=Michael: ]It was hard to tell how far off the shouting was. But to round figures, it was at least 150 feet and no more than a quarter of a mile.[/sblock][sblock=Hulgyr: ]Hulgyr rode forward after Eternity, hoping to find Zaeryl. Carrying a much heavier load, Hulgyr's horse was slower than Kailie, but since she had tethered her mount much closer to the path, he was able to make up some of the distance between them. Just as he was about to briefly catch up to her, he caught sight of Zaeryl, directly in front of her, apparently dragging one of the soldiers...Private Squatter?...through the forest by his heels. The Fallonese guard seemed to be in no condition to protest, dragging limply behind him. As Hulgyr halted his mount, Zaeryl blithely dragged the fallen soldier past him, with no more aplomb than one would use to drag some oversized branches back to camp to throw on the cookfire.[/sblock]Almayce 1[/sblock][sblock=Ironwolf: ]Ironwolf unceremoniously dumped Private Kneeler on the ground, and started to strip him of his gear. There was a short sword in a scabbard, leather armor, and a leather backpack. Judging from the weight of the pack, Ironwolf thought it must be mostly empty. Ahead, in the direction Zaeryl had gone, he heard hooves..."So the others got their horses?", he wondered. The sounds of Zaeryl dragging the soldier grew fainter.[/sblock][sblock=Zaeryl, Eternity: ]Zaeryl left Hulgyr behind as he continued to drag the soldier away from Duvik. Behind Eternity and Kailie, he spied a mounted Hulgyr, riding almost into Kailie's crupper. They both stopped, staring at him as he dragged the unfortunate trooper past them.

OoC: Kailie is carrying under 150 lbs, and I have your mount at 430 with you aboard. Yes, light warhorses do have more carrying capacity than light horses, but not that much more capacity.

We probably should resolve this for subsequent turns, but it wouldn't make much difference this turn. You ended up 5' behind her, and Zaeryl is only 5' ahead of her. What were you going to do with the extra movement, ride rings around Zaeryl? :D

ooc: my bad, somehow i had this thought that his horse was still in light load. Orcs just seem to have fat bottoms...
Although ridings rings would be fun, i think giving him(/her/it) a ride, or at least take over the soldier form him would be more constructive.

Stowing the shortsword so as to disarm the prisoner, Ironwolf decided to complete his task later. He picks up the prisoner again, heading for his horse.

They're too close and we're all going to get hanged..

Michael opens his eyes and looks around, hoping against hope somebody did something sensible instead of charging off through the woods.

(OOC: Can Michael see any of the party? Hello? McFly?)

OoC: Michael can still see Almayce, sitting nervously atop his horse, hoping that everything will work out soon. And Michael can easily hear what must be at least some of the party members, ahead and just slightly to his left.
