It was a choice between d8 and you, and well... He rolls better. He stacks well with other dice.
oh come on! everyone knows you can't build a dice skyscraper at the table without having a d4 at the top.

i always get the penthouse apartment.

1. Tie your d12 to the back of a cat with the '12' facing up.
2. Push the cat off of a table, or high ledge.
3. Voila! A 12 ever time.

Ok, now I have to clean my keyboard.
That should have come with a warning ;)

On a more serious note, I would venture to guess that any die that rolls unusually to one extreme or another is simply off balance. The manufacturing process involved in making gaming dice is by no means perfect. They even have places you can buy loaded dice specifically made lop sided (weighed down) enough not to notice but effectively adjust the avg roll one way or the other enough to notice in say 10 rolls or more…

I would suggest simply buying a new die.

In defence of the die, I see absoltely no problem with them. I, as DM, always roll high scores. The problem is not with the die, it is with the roller. Take one of my players, for example- a level 6 warrior. He not only thinks his d20 is posessed, and gets bad rolls, but he was killed. By a level 1.

It is my conclusion that the player rolling bad scores suffers an atitude problem, and should work on becoming a better player. Then perhaps the die will love him, nuture him, and give him good rolls. If your lucky, the characters life may even be spared!
