It stacks up to being about 1/5 the price of Ptolus. Other than that I don't see how they can even be compared. Totally different "scales" of product.

I utterly agree. That's not the same ball park at all. :)

Sounds great. How much information on the Lyreguard?

The hooks sound great. I just can't decide where in the Wilderlands to place it. So many choices...

Very detailed look at the Lyreguard, mostly though it describes the average ones and their commanders. No other details save their outpost.

Nah this is a city that deserves to be hardback just like Freeport and Ptolus.
Once again agreed, Ni. I just started skimming through it, reading the base layout and now the factions, and I like what I see. It definitely could fit the role of any "small city" in any standard fantasy game, including the Age of Worms. It is very standard to me, but it does standard fantasy really well.

If people want something really original out of the next city book, that's probably not the good purchase. But if you want a good, sturdy and standard city, that's definitely a keeper.

PS: Love the map mostly for the "little town with canals" feel I get from it. I have a hard time seeing 25,000 people living there, though, but that doesn't break my suspension of disbelief, so it doesn't matter much to me. :)

Yeah it has a little Venican feel but with less of the austre of such a city. It's certainly your "standard" standard city but doesn't mean you can't alter it to fit into a high magic level game, like FR, or even a low magic on say like Midnight. It's certainly a city for all sizes.

Sure! :)

By the way, this makes me think. I don't have the map right in front of me, but the "Tent district" and other stuff outside the walls isn't represented on the map, is it? So it'd be possible to expand it greatly (like to add one of my favorite "home districts" I once used with Suzail, a.k.a. The Snare, kind of outlaw district that crams itself against the city walls).
