D20 die logo for tattoo

Odd, when I go to click on the old news for march I get a broken link. I also changed march to mar (to follow the pattern) and still gets a broken link.

Anyone remember the website with that t-shirt company and the D20 (SH*T rolled a 1) logo?

I was once contemplating having "If you can read this then you are too close" tatooed around my anus. I was picturing a rather awkward period on the bench, though so I dropped it. :)

What I would like, if technology ever reaches a true Cyberpunk/Shadowrun ish level while I'm alive, is a subdermal light-up series of rune "tattoos" on my face... that glow red when I want them to, and are near invisible other times :)

Tattoos? Uh, get some spider webs. On your face. A big, multistrand web pattern across your face. That would be cool. And it would take you right out of that pesky job market.

Basicly, there are two reasons I don't have a tattoo:

First, the job market. Some employers, the type of industry I'm going into for example... teaching :)... just don't take well to tattoos.

Second, while a design might seem cool NOW, I doubt it will seem that cool to me in 30 years.

I can understand the job market concern but that is why you get them in easily covered locations.

I'm a consultant to some of the largest insurance companies in the world. None of my clients know or have seen my tatyoos. Its none fo their business.

as far as the "cool now" concern, thats why i have designed mine.

I don't think you should just go get anything. I think they should be images that hold importance to you personally.

It is also a way to connect to the person you once were. We all change though out our lives. I have always looked on my tats as ways to remember who I was and how I got here.

But then again, I'm wierd.

My first and second tattoos will be All Seeing Eyes (a la SJGames) on my temples. Then I am going to fill my dress shirt area as dark as possible with as much as possible.

Since I don't think I will ever get a job where that sort of thing will matter ( I am majoring in web design and medieval studies, with a minor in religious studies and networking)

Should I ever decide to get a tattoo, I have the following candidates:

  • A barcode. Might look really blurred after some years if it's small, though.
  • The Weyland-Yutani logo. WY is the Company in the Alien movies. Looks like this. It's also the logo of :Wumpscut:.
  • The logo from Hitman (the game). I really like it, and whipped up a pretty decent copy in Illustrator.
  • The same tattoo Boba Fett has on his shoulder.

I knew someone once who wanted to tattoo a horizontal line across one side of his chest, with the words "You must be at least this tall to ride [name deleted]'s rollercoaster of love." He decided against it when he realized how funny it would look when he was old and wrinkled. :)
