And you throw this around without links? What are you waiting for, post it!

(I've got my own conversion of klicks and kroath. I think my version of the kroath were done very well.)

I'm 99% sure the preview mentioned it. (If it didn't, I'll be happy to email you the GRAPH system from Alternity. After D20 Future is released :D )

It's long gone now. It fell off the boards months ago.

I think I have a hardcopy around here somewhere...

Doubt doubt doubt we'll see Dark*Matter in there. Which is sad for me.

They already released Hoffman in the Menace Manual ... if they'd OGC and SRD it ... :( The whole Menace Manual was originally not OGC, but they put alot of monsters up there, including just about all of the Dark*Matter standards. With Hoffmann you'd have the basic setup right there.

One thing I'm wondering is if they will have rules supporting more powerful Franks and Moureaus who have level adjustments and little in the way of flaws. Because in some places such as Dark Angel genetically engineered beings are just simply better (well Max who happens to be a Cat Moureau and all the others of her kind were perfect, but Josh seemed to lack charisma and intelligence).

Anyways they mention Yazirian, Dralasites and Vrusk as PC races. So they're bringing back the Sathar as well. Though I'm wondering with they're bringing back the Alternity races as well. Even though there's already Fraals, Weren and Sesheyan in the Menace Manual, I wonder if they'll have them in that book as well, along with the Mechalus and Tsa.

I certainly hope there's options for Biodroids who don't have Charisma scores stuck at 5. Maybe it'll be those Bioreplicas or Synthetics, who might be the "Replacements" type robots.

Though another idea for a campaign to try out would be one loosely based on Dune, with some genetech, interstellar travel, psionics and mystical powers, martial arts, lasers that explode when hitting shields and do 20d6 damage to all around the shooter and the target, a religious ban on computers, an emphasis on melee combat, and a drug that carries with it a lot of powers.

Though I wonder now if anyone has ideas to completely redo Dragonstar now. Use the D20M rules with D20F and Urban Arcana, but still have a few things in to make it a bit closer to D&D.

AFAIK, they're keeping it to themselves in case they need it in the future ... or a third-party publisher want to do Dark*Matter via a licensing agreement.

i think that's how the Mutation rules work, so maybe.

well, there's no mention of the Sathar yet, so who knows. personally, i hope they don't reprint the Alternity races from the Menace Manual, because we've already got stats for them... i'd prefer they use the space for something d20 hasn't seen yet.

the sci-fi setting i'm working on in preparation for d20 Future is going to owe a lot to Dune.

but a lasgun hitting a shield would do a lot more than 20d6 damage, i'd think -- in the books it's described as being the equivalent of a thermonuclear explosion! in one of the later books, they use mines against starships that are basically a small shield generator and a small lasgun set to trigger when a ship comes near. if that's enough to damage a starship, it'd probably be a lot more than 20d6.

What's wrong with White Wolf/Sword & Sorcery Studio/Arthaus?

Personally I'd prefer The Game Mechanics / Green Ronin. I've just been happier (very subjective I know)with their d20 Modern products.

All of this is big-time IMO.

My negative experience with Gamma World d20 has really soured me on them. Add to that some not-so-pleasant experiences with some of their authors via RPG.net, that they're behind DriveThruRPG.com, the complacency with which I see their fans react to what seems to be a tendency for bad editing, that so many of their products I've seen are written by armies of freelancers, churning them out at a '90s-TSR-like pace, and what I perceive to be a lack of facility with rules design...

Well, I'd just rather see a company in which I'm more confident get the license, should such a thing happen. I think Atlas would be a good match for D*M.
