[D20 Future] Starship Rules

Warhammer 40k ships are miles long. Easily the size of super star destroyers.

Note that there are only FOUR Super Star Destroyers that were ever made. They aren't common, by any means. If you're going to use any big ship for measure in SW, it should be the basic Star Destroyers, which hit 1,600m.

Dream Pod 9's Core Command setting has ships that are 30km long.

I am sure that there was a space station in Andromada that was 60km long.

What about the Death Star?

I suppose my point is here, why are the ships so small in d20 future. I don't think any campiagn area has them that small.

If you already have D20F, Aussiegamer, my recommendation is to make house rules that make it fit what you want it to do. Or you might be able to get your money back or trade it in. If you have not yet purchased it, buy something that works for you, instead of D20F which it seems apparent does not.

It is not just a simple matter of changing some sizes and BOOM it works, you have to consider other factors like mecha or even space obstacles for size mods etc.

yer I bought all three core books. Might get around to selling them one day, I was so disappionted as I was really looking forward to a good space game. Oh well onwards and upwards.....

Ships also include fighters and shuttles. The bigger the scale, the more fighters and shuttles can form a wing in a square.

I agree fighters and shuttles still need to exist the problem is up the top end, and done bother saying there is no upper limit to SH because it is a bit of a jump from 500m minimum to 10km.

Meh. It's the same with the Colossal size category, with the exception of d20 Future mecha, though I bet no one agree that the upper limit for mecha should be 128 feet, especially Robotech's SDF-1 fans.

Ultimately, it is up to the GM to set an upper limit.
