d20 Future Supplements?

Maybe that's all that would be required... We won't know until we see D20 Future. :)

Well, the original Blood and Space is basically new character classes suited for space, and a large section on spaceships and space combat.

That seems to be exactly what is offered in d20 Future (based on the preview), so it would be sort of redundant if the new Blood & Space was nothing more than an updated version of the old one.

I can see the classes being changed to advanced classes, but a lot of them are roles that either already exist in d20 Modern (like Doctor or Scientist) or will like exist in d20 Future (like Space Marine or Pilot).

Right... but the spaceship combat rules could still be offered as an option.

If the space combat system offers NO room for an expansion supplement I'd be shocked.

I've done a dozen d20M books and still see room for rules expansions, campaign models, and options.

You think I won't find room for ONE in d20F? :)

OK then my next big question would be (1) what is the actual format for dual stating something (example would greatly help) also (2) would anyone be put off if the book was OGL Cyberpunk and we offered a "handout" that had the stats on it for D20 Modern? I cannot see having the D20 logo and OGL Cyberpunk logos on the same book?

One more question, by agreeing to the license you are required to put that you must use the rulebook for what every system you are using be it the OGL Cybernet Rulebook or the D20 Modern rule book. How would you word it so that you could use either or without undermining either book? See that is the dilemma.

Kiln, I'd pose those questions in the d20 & Open Gaming Publishers forum if you want to get responses from other people in the biz.

I'd also make sure you sit down, even briefly, with a lawyer before publishing anything using the d20STL or OGL licenses so you know exactly what you're doing.

I have decided we are going to just stick with the OGL Mongoose license for the book. If someone wants to have a conversion for D20 we might end up making up free handout to give out if asked for. We have signed the licenses for Mongoose so we are legal and ready to go on all OGL product supplements for them.

D20 Future

Ok, so Moridin said that his MEG d20 Future supplement is dead in the water (which sucks); does anyone know of any other intended supplements from WoTC or other publishers for d20 Future?

Prior to the thread on MEGs book - I didn't even know ANY Future supplements were in the works yet.

Thanks!

As I type Star Ace is being adapted by Bruce Baugh, Eric Burns, Bryant Armour, and myself for the current rights owner.

Ronin Arts will be releasing the Fourth Millennium line of D20 Future products, with the first release, Fourth Millennium Player's Guide coming out in PDF form as soon as the new OGC is added to the Modern SRD. Although the line will include lots of setting material, almost all of it will be perfectly usable in other D20 Future settings, especially those with a "posthuman space opera" bent.

Print publication will follow next year in all likelihood.
