It's just that there are plently of sci-fi, post war, heavy science, rpgs already available. GW was different. I have a feeling I'm going to loose this arguement.

edit: Does anyone else feel this way? Maybe I'm just an old school foggy! I'm not saying you others are wrong in what you like. I just know what I like...![]()

You live in it. This isn't a goofy joke, THIS IS YOUR HOME. It's real, and, to you, it's normal. What's it like to be there? And how did it get this way?"

Yes, Gamma World has been "re-imagined," yes they've traded radioactivity for nanotechnology, but genetic engineering allows for just as much wackiness as old-school atomic mutation, if not more.
Go follow the link in my first post and read the discussion on rpg.net. Bruce has stated several times that he wanted to create a toolbox for you to create your Gamma World, not a book telling you what Gamma World should be.
Use the tools...everything you loved about GW will be there (except the sentient plants), and you can ignore the rest.

There is now a Gamma World forum at Sword & Sorcery, and I'm posting some teasers there. But they'll also get reposted at Wolf Spoor, for those who'd rather wait a little bit and get the benefits of well-tuned modern forum software.
Feel free to discuss that stuff here, too, of course.
