d20 legal advice sought

I know a number of people here have legal experience and am hoping that some also have legal experience with the Open Gaming License.

If you do, could you please contact me at maransreth@optushome.com.au ?

I am wishing some advice on a subject personal to me that pertains to the license. I do not wish to further clutter the boards with this :D , and would prefer that it is done by email.

Any help is very much appreciated.

I'm gonna slide this over to the D20 Publishers forum where hopefully it will catch the eye of someone who really knows what they're doing.

You'll probably have even more luck asking on the Open Gaming Foundation OGL list.
Actually, he won't have a lot of luck there either. There is only one person licensed to give legal advice on that list and he never does. The only way you are going to get legal advice is to ask a lawyer.

Now, if you have a question that has been asked before, someone might tell what has been said before.

I think someone has a list of OGL aware lawyers somewhere.

That's precisely why I suggested he ask on the OGL list -- they'll know where the list is before ENWorld (generally speaking). I think I've only ever heard the list mentioned on the OGL list.

You may find friendly advice, but I doubt you can find legal advice, unless you're willing to pay for the lawyer's service. A few may allow free consultation on the first visit (albeit brief), but after that he or she start clocking.

Thanks Eric. I wasn't too sure where the place for it would be. Assumed a mod would move if it was inappropriate.

As for legal advice, I "think" I know what to do and will do it soon, but I had wished for a bit more of a legal opinion before it was done.

And I don't believe paying for a lawyer for proper representation is needed at this point, and hopefully will never be needed.

Clark,
Thanks for the link. It has a wealth of information for new and upcoming publishers and those wishing to know more of the legal aspects of the license.

Just goes to show I should pay more attention to what ENWorld has. Perhaps even Morrus doesn't realise he has a portable hole for a website. :D
