D20 Modern - Beautiful Killer

Ah-ha!

While browsing through the D20 Modern art I kept seeing a familiar style - signed PN, or N. Phil Noto. He also draws for the comic book "Beautiful Killer," which is written by Jimmy Palmiotti. Issue #3 just came out last Wed

Oddly enough, I just found out that it's also slated to be a movie with Jessica Alba starring as the main heroine, Brigit Cole.

Based on the comic book Beautiful Killer, this spy thriller has Jessica Alba set to star as 19-year-old Brigit Cole, the daughter of two secret agents. Anticipating the worst, the spies have taught their daughter all the tools of the trade and set her up with equipment, contacts, and a bank account. When her parents are indeed killed, Cole tracks down those responsible.

Doubly cool. Wait a minute, I just realized don't think I got up to the part in the story arc where her parents are killed. Damn spoilers.

I haven't seen SpyKids. Nonetheless there are certain changes which make it stand out - Brigit, for example, is an albino of some sort. She has totally white skin - and one of the first things her mother teachers her is how to apply make up so she can chage her appearance muchsomore then other, ordinary people. Also not mentioned in the short review is that they are anticipating the worse because they have pissed off some very bad people in their past lives as secret agents. Lovely artwork, lovely story.
