Well, I just purchased my d20 modern sourcebook and tried it out. Here's my first attempt with a character concept. Hope ya'll enjoy.

—Any Speak: Can speak, read and write in any spoken language
—Marked: as a creature with angelic blood running through her veins, she is marked as an agent of light via a tattoo on her wrist. This can be both a benefit and curse, depending on whether she is dealing with an agent of heaven or hell.
—Nightmares: Sabina suffers from nightmares that are usually prophetic in some manner or form
—Visions: Sabina has a strange form of precognition that manifests itself into visions, that are always true, though not always as explicit as one would hope for. These visions are usually terrifying.

APPEARANCE
Sabina appears as a beautiful young woman with finely chiseled features and tanned skin. She is 6ft tall with a deceptively muscular, athletic build. Her eyes are an eerie pale gold. Her waist length silvery white hair is normally braided into a single wrist thick braid. Circling her wrist is a strange-tattoo resembling some sort of hieroglyphics. She normally dresses into the most up to date fashions. Sabina normally wears color contacts. When fighting evil, Sabina often dons a costume in order to protect her family and friends. Her costume consists of loose dark blue trousers, tucked into black boots, a loose black shirt, black scarf around her nose and mouth, a dark blue, lightweight coat and a black hood and holster-belt. When fighting, she normally carries a specially blessed crossbow and a Colt Python revolver. While in costume, Sabina doesn't wear contacts, using her weird eye color to intimidate her enemies.

HISTORY
Sabina was born to wealth and power. Her family owned huge holdings of profitable businesses, claims to mining rights and stock options besides. But her family held a secret. Every so often, her family produced children with extraordinary powers and abilities, that unchecked would call down the very forces of heaven and hell upon them. For they were all descended from some unknown angel. And that bloodline carried both promise and price. Promise of a successful future and the price of fighting evil wherever it appeared. Sabina was one such child burdened with the mark of her ancestor and the oath that went along with it. So her parents sent her to the far east, where she learned how to harness her abilities and where she honed her body into a killing machine.

When she returned, she took a job as an investigative reporter, a perfect cover for her night-time activities. In the course of her adventures, Sabina also met up with other heroes of the night, including a very strange occultist and shadow slayer who recognized her as an agent of heaven. They joined her fight and together, they spread terror throughout both the criminal and supernatural underworld.
