D20 Modern Library; am I missing anything essential?

I just bought this from RPGNow about 5 minutes ago. WOW. I've just scratched the surface, but WOW. You guys have an AMAZING product there. It may take me a while to go through and digest everything, but once I do, you'll get a NICE big review on RPGnow.com.

In particular, your art & layout are of amazingly high quality. Very, very clean looking.

EDIT: Mansel's Flunkies have been posted.

Very happy to hear you like our efforts :D

[SHAMELESS PLUG]Just thought that I'd let you know that the Warmaster class used for Mansel is available as a separate download now from the ENWorld Store - we got some good feedback from that class so thought we'd share![END SHAMELESS PLUG] ;)

And timespike - keep us informed how your players get on with Mansel ... I wanna hear tales of his villainy!

When they run into him, I'l let Ebonyte relay the tales of horror. ;)

I should warn you, that's a LONG ways off yet. It will be months in the real world before they encounter this particular villain. Because, well, if they encountered him now, especially with his backup, it'd be grease spot time.

Fourth, as a publisher, I just wanted to ask: What else does your definitive d20 Modern library need? We want to make books people will use, and I think the best way to figure that out is to ask people who are actually running games. So, mention what you'd like to see, and we just might be able to do something to fill your library out.

Thanks again for your kind praise.

I realize this answer is a long time coming, but better late than never, right?

First and foremost, I'd like to see some support/continuation of your existing postmodern products; more talent trees, flaws, and traits would be a great asset to have. A book with a bunch of versatile hero "builds" showing the different things that can be done with the class would be spiffy. (I'd be happy to contribute the various custom classes I've made using the book to this if you decided to do it.)

Second, I'd like to see some sort of modular system for advanced & prestige class design. I realize that this would be a MUCH larger undertaking than the Versatile Hero, but having a resource for cranking out balanced advanced & prestige classes would be absolutely wonderful.

Third, to be honest, I don't think you need much help from me. Your modern products so far have been of excellent quality. I'm just looking forward to the next one, whatever it is.

Thank you for your input, timespike. I'm glad to know we're on the right track.

As far as your first paragraph, that is exactly where POSTMODERN is headed. Also, we're looking at collecting and tweaking some of the existing variant rules out there, especially ones outside of the Modern rules we can convert in interesting ways. We are thinking of putting out some new base classes soon, and the mechanics of the Versatile Hero are a part of the way we do that, so in many ways you will be seeing classes built with it. A collection of versatile heroes is a neat idea, though . . .

As for your second paragraph, an advanced class builder is a good idea, and (in a very roundabout way) has sort of been discussed once or twice around these parts. The trick would be accounting for the creation of new class abilities, many of which would be created for the individual class and would, by necessity, be unique and of varying power levels. The answer to that dilemma will be discussed again.

One neat product idea we're working up is something on allegiances. We think there could be more to those rules than there is currently. The RPG Objects product Blood & Relics touched on what we're thinking a bit, but we want to take it even further.

Like I said, it's nice to know we're on the right track, and especially nice to know that the products are being USED, not just read.
