d20 Modern Pulp

Anyone done a d20 Modern Pulp? I know that Poly has had a Pulp Heroes game, but it seems like the core books would serve well enough, with a little adaptation. Mainly just wondering what everyone else has done.

I ran a one-shot Victorian pulp thing a year or so back...set in Hong Kong v. a Fu Manchu lookalike. Worked just fine. I played a CD called Cliffhangers, a collection of Republic serial tunes, while we played.

Saturday, I ran a game called Quirks, sort of a contemporary pulp-meets-scifi thing. Also big fun, and described in a thread herein.

Are you referring to the original PULP HEROES mini-game (released before d20 Modern) or the d20 Modern adaptation of PULP HEROES (forgot the issue number)?

Specifically I was thinking of the Adaptation (dungeon #102 Sept 2003, BTW) for d20 Modern.

Perhaps I should clarify my question: I am interested in playing a Pulp game using d20 Modern rules. Has anyone done this? If so, what rules did you use? What adaptations to the core rules did you make?

Sidenote: Does anyone know if Adventure! d20 (due in May) will use d20 modern rules?

They are not using D20M as the core -- they're using 3.5 as the core as it represents a much, much larger potential market. I find this disappointing but can't fault the logic.

Someone should make a pulp supplement for d20 Modern...really, all you'd need are the mechanics from Pulp Heroes [both versions] and setting info along the lines of GURPS Cliffhangers. Throw in a few extra prestige classes and incantation magic, and a nice three-part adventure [set in New York City, Shanghai, and the Congo]...

I'm working on a supplement for D20 Modern for Emerald Press; I call it "Treasure Hunter." It focuses more on Indiana Jones-style adventures, of course.

It would have been nice if that fan site that supported the original PULP HEROES would also lend support for d20 Modern PULP HEROES.

BTW, I thought that White Wolf is going to select one of their d20 subsidiaries (Arthaus, Sword & Sorcery, and one other) to do the Adventures! d20 rulebook.
