[d20 Modern] Terminator: Future Fate is Here!

Terminator: Future Fate Has Moved

I got over 1,000 hits directly to the .pdf, so I figured I'd let as many people as possible know this way:

I've changed URLs and the structure of my web site. You can now find Terminator: Future Fate under Freebies at http://michael.tresca.net.

In recent news, I managed to grab 20+ Terminator comics for $1 at I-Con recently. I got the Thing comics too! WOO!

I'm pretty busy with paying projects, so it will take awhile before I incorporate the comics (I need to develop a timeline just to keep things straight in my head). I'll post an update around the Terminator 3 release for sure.

Talien,

This applies to both Terminator: Future Fate and Evil Dead: Swallow This! but I'll only post it here for ease of reference.

There is an unintentional OGL violation in both books. Since both deal with time travel, you have a section where you refer the reader to other d20 products for other historical eras. However, in the OGL (emphasis mine):

7. Use of Product Identity: You agree not to Use any Product Identity, including as an indication as to compatibility, except as expressly licensed in another, independent Agreement with the owner of each element of that Product Identity. You agree not to indicate compatibility or co-adaptability with any Trademark or Registered Trademark in conjunction with a work containing Open Game Content except as expressly licensed in another, independent Agreement with the owner of such Trademark or Registered Trademark. The use of any Product Identity in Open Game Content does not constitute a challenge to the ownership of that Product Identity. The owner of any Product Identity used in Open Game Content shall retain all rights, title and interest in and to that Product Identity.

I somehow doubt you got agreements from all those companies to mention their products.

You may want to do something like this, since you have put those PDFs up as d20 products. Admittedly, they are slightly "under the table" since you're using both "Evil Dead" and "Terminator" without permission, but at least you have disclaimers there...

You know, I thought about this after I was reading the...cough...other scandal going on. You're right.

I think I'm just going to have to take those references out completely. There's really no other way around it.

I cleaned up the latest version and fixed that OGL violation. It also occurs to me I can't reference d20 Modern either.

So out they go. I started adding changes to the timeline but I (oh the irony!) ran out of time. So I'll update it next go round. This reflects my developing Terminator comic collection too.

Fortunately, I can sum up the bad comics with a sentence or two (Johnnie-O and the Synth Slashers, bleargh).

Something added that you requested too, Alzrius. :)

I can't wait to see T3 - I've watched the trailers and clips over at movies.yahoo.com/trailers over and over again. I'm going to go get my tickets today (special early showing here on the 5th).

Congratulations Talien! You certainly deserve it! Even if you don't win (and I hope you do), that is certainly something to brag about - the ENnies are quite big, and I've seen listings of "nominated for an ENnie" more than once in advertisements.

Unbelievable! I submitted both Terminator: Future Fate and Evil Dead: Swallow This! -- and my site ended up being nominated (which means, in a sense, both are in the running).

Who woulda thunk!

:)

You noticed.

I didn't feel comfortable considering it in the official categories, as you (to my knowledge) don't have licenses for the material. But it was undeniably a great fan campaign resource, so it seemed the right place to nominate it.
