Has anyone ever thought of trying to convert Morrowind into a d20 system? I've been addicted to that game for the past few weeks and I think it would be fun to do a table top version of it. I'm only familiar with the d20 system, but I think it would still be possible.
The most complex problem seems to be the magic system - organizing new spell lists, using a magic points system, letting players scale the power of their spells, enchanting, alchemy. It feels pretty daunting, but perhaps if some other people could toss in ideas or help, it could be done.
And could magic work like a skill? I.E - try to cast level 1 spell, make a conjuration skill check vs. DC 15+spell level (or perhaps point value)?
The most fun part for me would be creating the new core classes - Nightblade, Agent, Witchhunter? Sign me up!
Anyone interested in this concept? Want to share some ideas?
