As far as which one to get....that all depends on what you're looking for...

if you're looking for a complete supers game....Deeds Not Words is a wonderful d20 supers game by Cryptosnark games..it is a 300+ page pdf for $10!! It is also very well supported by a handfull of released and planned supplements... (an example of some character conversions of this system can be found at
WikidOgre's Superhero Playground )

if you're looking for a super hero toolset to add to another d20 game (like D&D or d20Modern)...Four Color 2 Fantasy from Natural 20 is prolly your best bet..its not a full fledged game in itself..is is more a toolkit for added them to other games..

Mutant & Masterminds, however, would be good if all you want is a quick and easy to play supers game...(it's system is based on single d20 rolls and doesn't use HP)

these are all IMHO...

I don't have a real feel for doing supers in d20, and wouldn't seriously consider running such a game using the system. It seems to me to be the one major genre that any system designed for normal or heroic level characters will have trouble scaling to, at least if you want to do relatively high-end supers (Superman, Thor, etc.) My primary problem is with the level system - powerful supers don't have to level up to get that way - they just are powerful.

My preference would be to use a dedicated supers system, either SAS-Tristat, Hero or MEGS/Blood of Heroes. Mutants and Masterminds looks very good and could possibly change my mind, especially if it discards levels, but I said the same thing about Traveller d20 and it managed to please me very much while retaining them.

Got to go with Deeds Not Words. It's a bargain for the price and extremely versatile. The guy who wrote it also has a sense for comedy that makes it a fun read.
