Judges Guild Fans ! Does anyone remember the 1980 module, Inferno?
The completion is finished, the d20 conversion done, and it is ready for a few wicked DM's to do trial runs. The module features all 10 of Dante's Circles (yes, there is Zero Circle) stretching over 300 miles of inhospitable terrain and unforgiving climates, plus 2 entry modes (wilderness and dungeon), the exit path, and an overview of Purgatorio. There are descriptions of almost 50 arcane spells, 20 divine spells, 10 skills, 45 diseases, almost 400 magic items (55 are artifacts, 150 are cursed), more than 250 monsters (84 devils, 15 angels), and 125 NPC characters. With more than 25 scripted encounters, and more than 20 optional encounter areas totaling more than 500 rooms and locations (King Samael's Tower alone has 175 rooms). Meet Angels of the Melchiaze Order, the Great She-Wolf, Valara (whose grave is at the Gate of Hell), Charon, Minos, Plutus, Cerberus, the Minotaur of Hell, Phelygas, Eirdeinne the Prophetess, Geryon, Nimrod of the Nephilim, the Devil General Barbiccae, and of course Lucifer the Great. Tour such places as the River Archeron, the Styx Marsh, the Wall of Dis, the City of Burning Tombs, the Wood of Suicides, the Funerary Temple and Sphinx of Kemmelnesses, the Alchemist's Keep (where they keep the Elixir of Immortality), and the Sanctorum Luciforus.
The design is for a party of 6 to 8 diverse standard (SRD) classes averaging L15, none less than L10 and none more than L19, using only standard SRD races and average amounts of equipment and magic items.
