Daggerheart Class Packs kickstarter is live.

Niche in a niche in a niche. I'm surprised how much it made.
After reading some of the comments, im not. There are a fair bit of support pledges because people ate CR, Daggerheart fans or fans of the concept.

That IMO is worrying since this is to gauge the actual interest in these class packsas a commercially viable product...and that definitely skews the appearance upwards. Just hope they dont waste money, time and resources on something like these card packs which, IMO, would be much better spent on a book of ready made adversaries and environments... something the fan base seems to feel is lacking in the core.

What
Third party Daggerheart production got chilled a bit by their license shenanigans: seems to be a vibrant homebrew scene, though?
What's wrong with the license? I read it, it seems okay to me - if I understand it correctly, it lets you retain your IP, which, to me personally, is the most important thing ... or is there some catch I overlooked?

There was some drama about it...but most concerningly, they have changed it since it dropped and tetain the ability to change it.

Kind of a hard sell for a third party as opposed to CC, or even ORC.

Development takes time. The first setting or rules supplement will really be the test of where the game sits in the market. This appears to be an experiment to see how viable a proct like this is. It's a smart move.
