I posted a thread about the new Daggerheart survey.

I need a survey to say, “I wish your character sheet on Roll20 wasn’t through the Demiplane partnership!” I know, I know, the correct answer is to get off Roll20 and use Foundry 😅

I mostly like Demiplane, it's the roll20 part I have trouble with.

Granted I don't like how Demiplane ends up being hyper expensive once a game has a lot of books, like Pathfinder 2E. But for a small game with an extremely slow publishing pace like Daggerheart (I'm coming from Pathfinder, not D&D, so anything short of a book every other month feels slow. One a year feels glacial - even if that is faster than WotC), it's actually a solid value add.

Roll20 though - the only nice thing I can say about Roll20 is that the people they have still working at Demiplane, which they bought out, seem like really nice folks. ;)

Otherwise, when I'm looking for games and I see two listings: One on Roll20 and the other being 'no game at all', I often choose 'no game at all'.

I've tried to play in roll20 games a few times and every time the experience is painful and keeps taking me out of the mood of the game.

For DH, Owlbear is better than roll20. Owlbear doesn't actively get in the way of enjoyment. It's too bare bones for that. Foundry is best (even for theater of the mind games), but if not that, then Owlbear.
