War of the Worlds? What artistic interpretation of War of the Worlds has EVER looked like these?

Thats simply what I thought. Multi legged things which apparently float over the ground? War of the Worlds.

And I am pretty sure that a similar scene (several walkers in a similar formation) appears in the movie. Sadly I can't find pictures of them, especically of the harvesting walker, from the movie.

Of course there are things which share more similarities. Compare the right spider with a Universe at War Habitat walker (left)for example.

Termagaunts is what I thought, and given their small size in their 3E incarnation I'm wondering if they got a rework.

Its good news about the not-Worg art.

Last two pictures (Worg and spidergolems) have been quite a bit below par. Time to shape up, WOTC, you were off to such a good start.

Cheers,

Other than they both kind of scuttle around like crabs, I don't see much of a similarity. They also don't look like they are floating to me.

The kruthik in question looks like it's walking to me, actually. Most animals tend to have multiple legs in the air at the same time, especially at faster gaits. When humans run, for example, there are periods of time when neither foot is touching the ground.

Yeah, but those things look like they're slowly picking their way across the Generic Blasted Landscape. As Generic Bug Aliens often do.

Kruthic ? Well, after seeing the "worg", I think we can be happy this is not the new unicorn or the new basilisk...

Seriously, I want my big, bad, nasty wolf to look like, well, a wolf, not a diseased ostrich.
