What is the point of this statement?
Tempted as I am to say "If you'd read the thread, you would know", my point was that you came in and said "I can't accept this as a worg" right after Logan Bonner posted to say "This isn't the worg, it's just a Large variant of it".

Rendering your objection more than a little moot.

Oh man, Kruthiks were one of my least favorite monsters from the Miniatures Handbook. I hope their 4th edition incarnation is a little more inspiring, but I have to say that the picture isn't doing it for me.

I love Kruthiks. I have so much fun with them in a Replicator/Aliens sort of way. :)

Cheers!

Ooh, quoting:

Before Lurkalot loses money betting on worgs, I'll confirm that the picture is a guulvorg (a Huge variant of the worg), and that the worg looks different from that.

The kruthik... Some kind of Underdark spider monster. Never seen it before... Looks dangerous, however...

My first thought when seeing the picture: War of the Worlds
My second thought: Phyrexians

Not a good sign for a fantasy race.

And totally in-line with D&D (things like beholders, mind flayers, clockwork horrors and so on always had a sci-fi feel to it).

I like them - the artwork isn't particularly impressive, but I like the kruthiks!

Cheers, LT.

My first thought was "aracnogolems".

My second thought was "d20 Future is out already?".

War of the Worlds? What artistic interpretation of War of the Worlds has EVER looked like these? Or is this similar to the old 'It looks like a Gundam!' argument anytime someone sees a giant robot they dont like?

Nevermind the Kruthik is from 3rd ed to begin with. (Miniature's Handbook)

Yes, yes it is.

Yeah, that's not necessarily a saving grace. They look pretty Tyranidy, but 40K is mostly Fantasy In Space anyway.
