The issue is that many, not all, not most, but many people simply don't RTFM.

Also, some people just get lost in the jargon, especially those that are new to RPGs. I can't blame them either.

When you read the WHOLE paragraph on DR it's pretty clear, it's only when you take in in parts that it is confusing.

I posted it because no one in the 28 previous posts had done so. It's amazing how long a duscussion can go before someone actually looks up the ENTIRE rule conerning the discussion.

So, if you hit someone with, say, DR 50/+2 with a +1 flaming sword, they will take no base damage, but WILL take the falme damage.

That actually made me chuckle. I'm not exactly sure why, but it did. I don't think any other post on ENWorld has managed that.
