By the wording, it seems obvious that the Weapon is meant to get iterative attack and full damage bonus including hated species and whatnot.
At a glance it does seem a little too strong but I've never had one in my campaigns.
But there is an issue of the value of the PCs gear. My players are a bit communist and like to compare the value of everyone's equipment to make sure no one is getting too powerful.
For exemple a +3 dancing longsword is worth a little over 98 000GP. If you release it and draw something else, what are you using? Say, a +3 flaming long sword and a +2 keen Shortsword. That's a little over 50 000 GP in total.
So your Weapons would be worth about 150 000 GP.
As I said, my players, thanks in part to my own nudging, try to share treasures fairly.
So if one ranger is wielding 150k worth of weaponry as his main melee "power package", it wouldn't be surprising if another one was using a +5 Sonic Greatsword of Holiness or something of that caliber as his.
