As I understand things, there are another door inside and separate (smaler) building the door leads to.

GM: You are split into two groups one inside and one the out side group are watching the entrance to the extension of the workshop and consists of Shavara and Shildor. Everyone else went inside which is where the scratching was heard.

Ah! And the scratching comes from that other building? Or from under / above us? Hopefully, we would see the scratcher if he was in the same room with us...
