The cart lurched into movement it is difficult at first but as the cart gains momentum it becomes easier to pull. Things take a turn for the worse as the cart needs to turn off the beaten track into the deeper less compact sand but the cart keeps rolling on forward.

You can see the oasis growing closer and closer a small slice of heaven in this sand blasted wasteland. You know little of it's guardian other than her reputation for wildly swinging moods and fondness for eating those that displease her. How do you approach.

The half-giant pauses, breathing a little heavier than usual, and asks for a drink of water. Once he takes a couple swallows, he continues, "Do you think we've been seen yet? If so, maybe we should send our friendliest faces to make introductions before we just stomp into someone's home?"

Chick clicks his mandibles and waves a hand implying that someone should go ask permission for us to approach. He then lifts his gythka and chitters, suggesting that he thinks we should take the oasis by force if we are denied permission.

Kanna nods and rummages a bit in the boxes to find a suitable gift for the oasis-keeper. Salt and meat and water. Mostly for ceremony, since there was water in the oasis already.

She collects the offering and walks away from the wagon, towards the oasis.

In the speech of the halflings, Kanna called out, "I am Kanna of the Hilltop Wood People, and these others are mine as well. I would share gifts with this place and her Keeper. Water for our water, meat for our meat, salt for our salt. May we rest here?"

As Kanna approaches with her offering the water from the pool swirls into the sky before gushing back down and taking on the form of a halfling, this form then solidifies into the form of Danduro.

Danduro is taller than most halflings closer to the height of a dwarf, she looks completely feral her eyes lock with Kanna's as her faces scrunches, as if she is trying to remember something from long ago.
[Sblock=druidic]"Rest,May,Pleases."[/sblock] in one fluid movement she lunges forwards shifting shape to that of a jackle snatches the meat and scurries off into the distance.

You get the feeling she is older than she appears and was not always the way she is now, you also know she is watching ever watching. Danduro's oasis is a pleasant spot despite the feeling you are standing a trial a odd sensation blows across your skin. A cold breeze. Insects chirp and birds sing, the water is also cool if not unnaturally so and still despite the winds.

Kanna lets her breath out and looks back at the others.

"We may stay for a time. Rest. Eat. Do nothing that harms the land or air or water."

She considers for a moment, then realizes that big folk often like to burn their food. "No fires. And leave the wagon where it is. Don't bring it closer."

Eevuu Farseeker nods to Kanna and the odd Halfling and grabs his kit to move to a shaded area. "Can we refill our canteens?" he asks before removing it. Dried rations is fine to eat but water is rare in the desert.
