DARKSUN in RAVENLOFT

My currently running PbP game of Darksun has now entered Ravenloft, the Demiplane of Dread.

I am looking for 2-3 new players.

I have been using the Official Darksun conversion (found on WoTC Campaign Worlds area aka The Burning Sands of Athas) for my Darksun characters.

If you wish to bring in a non-Darksun character this is possible but I get final say.

32 pt buy system.

Currently using 3.0 rules. Once I finish reading 3.5 books I may change. Too early to say.

Knowledge of Darksun and Psionics is very useful but not required. (especially if playing a PC from another Ravenloft land.

For characters, I also would appreciate a background of your PC. Especially in Ravenloft, that can be useful.

Thankyou.

Basic concept.

Socrates the silver.

Socrates Cooper was born in a small village that is now deserted. His father was a Preserver and his mother a fierce druidess. His parents were the leaders of the town and Socrates lived a little better than most because of it.
Being a Human is a blessing and a curse on Athas. It's easy to blend in but seeing all the strange and powerful races like Elves and Dwarves makes one feel a bit mundane. When he was very young Socrates studied Magic from his father and was an apt pupil but he was headstrong and foolish.
When he was just a young boy he ran afoul of a Templar and actualy used the Preservers art in front of her. He was chased across the desert and tracked back to his home village. His parents were able to get him outside the city and into the wilderness just before the Templars destroyed the village that his parents had created.

Socrates traveled and grew wise. He now is a wanderer who has specialties skills for building fortifications around cities.

How are you handling Preservers and Defilers?

Dark Sun in Ravenloft sounds like the coolest thing since Midnight.
I'm just thinking of how Socrates will deal with finding spells that are native to Ravenloft. I'm thinking a mix of horror and dread of taking them back to Athas. (imagine what a defiler could do with some of those spells!)

...and remember- what you folks get a shot at I already have! Defilers do have a natural niche it seems for a Ravenloft game. It will be fun when I twist and play with it.

The official Athas have the rules currently. Though they do not support Sorcerer as a class I do. It just means somewhere in your family tree there was a Sorcerer-King or someone that got too close to the Pristine Tower.

that is the address for the "official" conversion. I also use MalHavoc psionic books and the Mindseye site linked to WoTC.
