Assuming Tallask hears those sounds as well, he'll also prep for an encounter - if it's to be talking, there are others to take it. If not, he's ready - he'll manifest both Chrysalis (as a free manifestation) and Animal Affinity (Strength), and then Force (for free), and ready his longspear, watching the back.

From out of the darkness Andus can see movement. At first he thinks it is the sewer sludge moving then recognizes the true form- a wave of 100's of rats charging directly at you.

Tallask curses loudly and fluently, hearing the unmistakable sound of rats chittering and scraping over one another as they swarm.

His eyes flash left and right, and there is a definate widening of his pupils. His eyes go blank for a quick moment, and then a hum, indiscernable in origin, fills the air briefly, and again his features shift, becoming much more sloped, almost resembling a Kank's carapace. There is also a flash of greenish light, and Tallask seems just a bit larger than before. He considers the walls and ceilings, searching for a place to haul himself up.

OOC: Manifest Animal Affinity (Strength) and then Freely Manifest Bio-Boost via item (+1 to str checks for 1 minute).
