Luke and I are indeed both using the Forge/IPR booth as our base of operations this year. I must say, Burning Empires looks very cool.

In response, I'll quote my answer from the press release thread:

Oops! Guess I should have looked for the press release. Anyway, thanks for the quick reply. As I said, I was pretty much planning on getting both. So, good luck and I'll see you guys in two weeks.

Not at all. I was just being lazy about retyping it all.

It took me a while, but I finished Helios Rising. I have an insider at a copy place (my wife) who printed the PDF out for me. That is half of a ream of printer paper! It is about 10 pounds of book. I was half-joking with my gaming groups that it was the War and Peace of gaming.

It is thick and chunky. Johnny Angel is right. It could have been split up into several good sized splat books, but I am glad that it was not.

It took me a while to digest all of the information in it. Now that I have this book I will not have to go searching for additional materials for a long time. I have enough to keep my players occupied for the next year.

The first shipment of books is off to my contact in Indy. I have the tracking number. So, barring an Act of God, they will be there, and we will not have a repeat of last year's Shadow Falling incident. The printer informs me that the book weighs in at almost 4 pounds. Not Ptolus-big, but pretty damn big.

And now I just need to wait with bated breath for my copy to be shipped to my house (as I can't make GenCon this year). :)

Same here. Reading through a pdf is OK, but I want the hard copy version in my hands.

I concur, I would have loved to have a hard copy to read on the plane ride. Although that will be one good present to read when I get back.
