Day Break - finale up (spoilers)

A couple of quick comments as I head out the door for my weekly D&D session.

1) I just now put together the weapons shipment that Hopper found earlier with the raid on the courthouse. Before now, that part seemed to make no sense - a dead end/red herring, I thought. Now, I get it.

2) I still think that the Damian/Uncle Nick connection is weak, but it is what it is. :)

3) I think my favorite aspect of the show is how well the characters were constantly moved from innocent to guilty to innocent (and sometimes back to guilty). Chad is the poster child for this, IMO.

Good stuff. :D

They managed to tell a very interesting and complex storyline without making any plot holes (at least no glaring ones). Well done.
I wonder if we will see more of the writers that made this work, and I would like to see many of the actors again, Taye Diggs clearly on top of the list.

It's really a shame that the show wasn't a success. If there is ever a DVD out, I will buy it.

The only weakness in the final episode, as others have also pointed out, is the lack of the "transition" point - suddenly Hopper's time loop is over, and he never seemed to get the moment where he realized that it was. But maybe that was even intended - the show definitely felt that there were ways to continue the storyline (with or without further time loops), as the main player hasn't been taken out yet.

I would hope that, if they ever got a second season, they let Hopper not be the only one in the time loop. Maybe Rita could also be involved too. I felt like by the end of the series she was deserving of something other than just getting endangered or killed repeatedly.

My wife and I just finished watching the unaired episodes this week. All of them this weekend.

WOW!

And then we get pissed at TV execs who don't keep quality show like this on the air. It was smart, well acted, well thought out and well done. And, like others said, left us with enough mystery for a second season.

The only thing that bugged us was what Hopper did to uncle nick. We didn't think he should let him die. I can explain it but I can't justify it.

That was it for us. Otherwise, amazing. We got upset at how the stuff with Rita seemed forced and then it was all explained about how that came about and what was happening. It was there from the beginning, we just had to think.

Wow. A show that asks the viewer to think!

*sigh*

Great show.

Have a good one! Take care!

I hate abc's streaming video. I managed to get downloads of the even number episodes but had to watch the last one (and the other ods) on streaming. It cut off mid way through the last episode and it won't let you go back. Now I have to watch the first half over again.

Seemed like it ended great. I will never understand the magic eight ball thta decides th efate of good shows but crap like according to jin
