Daybreak - Ep 2 (11/22/06)

Comments? I'm actually really enjoying the show, though I wonder how in the hell Brett can be so calm if he knows that bad stuff is going to keep happening to him, and that he doesn't get a reset button on his own life. I keep worrying he's going to get a nasty injury and wake up the next day crippled.

I also like that, even though he knows she'll wake up fine the next day, he won't let a day go by without trying to protect his girl . . . whose name is . . . I forget. *embarrassed grin* Maybe I'll get it tomorrow.

I wonder if he's actually going to get hurt much for the rest of the show, or if they just needed to make us realize at the beginning what the threat is. Who forsees this ending as a tragedy, where in order to break out of the cycle he's got to do something terrible?

Rita. Man, Moon Bloodgood is a hottie. I'd save her every day too.

The problem is, who knows which day is the final day in the cycle? Would you want your girlfriend to die on that day? Or any other innocents?

I like how they dole out info, slowly, but continuously.

Exactly, that's why he's got to save everyone he can, every single "day," starting with his girlfriend. I love that about it, a definite twist on Groundhog Day.

Yeah, but I think he's not too worried about saving Baxter any more. ;)

I like how he's figuring stuff out, going to new places, and slowly fitting together the pieces. His drive-by cellphone save of the bus crash victim was pretty good too. Save time, don't get involved, keep going.

I also like that we, the audience, are getting a bit of extra info too...it's not just 100% his point of view.

Right with you on Baxter, though he may still try to save Baxter's girlfriend. And I'm right with you, I thought the cell phone bus bit was great. Once he figures out the timing of it (that is, the exact minute he should make the call), he doesn't even have to be there to do it, he can do it from anywhere.
