For those of you running regular 4E games (weekly-ish for months on end), how many people in the group have DDI subscriptions?

How many of those people spend time behind the DM screen for the group?

How many are players only?

How many also keep up with the books in addition to the DDI?

How many are books-only gamers?

How many are DDI-only gamers?

How many keep up their subscription constantly?

How many spot-subscribe (periodically just for updates)?

How many subscribed but no longer do, preferring to either use someone else's subscription or simply what they have from their previous downloads?

Let me mention, this is 1 DM + 6 players.

I have eight or nine players right now due to a bizarre series of departures, finding new people to play, and having the departing players not end up needing to leave anymore. Fortunately, I can count on one or two to miss per week.

Two of us have continuous subscriptions. I'm the only DM for the group. I'm also the only one who really buys up the books. Three players - including the other guy with DDI - have some 4e books. I help the other players manage their PCs.

Book-wise, purchasing patterns are no different from any edition or RPG I've played.

For those of you running regular 4E games (weekly-ish for months on end), ...

For those of you running regular 4E games (weekly-ish for months on end), how many people in the group have DDI subscriptions?

Only me.

How many of those people spend time behind the DM screen for the group?

Only me.

How many are players only?

10, at this moment.

How many also keep up with the books in addition to the DDI?

Me.

How many are books-only gamers?

Zero.

How many are DDI-only gamers?

Zero.

How many keep up their subscription constantly?

The only subscription up all the time is mine.

How many spot-subscribe (periodically just for updates)?

Zero:

On my first 4E game people leveled up at my notebook, straight on game table, after sessions. No DDI subscribers.

My Planescape game was in other town and three players subscribed. Then they discovered pirate versions of CB, cancelled their subscriptions and are using that.

Now, except for me who am a DDI subscriber, all of them are using pirate versions of CB, despite me offering my notebook for them to level up, at table, after sessions...

There are six in our group, and 4 of us have active subscriptions.

How many of those people spend time behind the DM screen for the group?

Two of the four are regular DM's and one is the alternate, stepping in when campaigns end.

How many are players only?

Three have never DM'd even a one-shot in 4e.

How many also keep up with the books in addition to the DDI?

Two have consistent purchasing, buying the books that interest them. (Me and the alternate DM)

How many are books-only gamers?
0. The two who don't have subs borrow the character builder. Everyone has their own PH, but no one books-only in our group.

How many are DDI-only gamers?
The closest is one guy who only has a PH and a ddi sub.

How many keep up their subscription constantly?
The four of us never disable our ddi subs.

How many spot-subscribe (periodically just for updates)?
None.

How many subscribed but no longer do, preferring to either use someone else's subscription or simply what they have from their previous downloads?

Again, none. The two who don't subscribe never have.

Well, since I moved across the country, my weekly game ended, but I'll answer for that group: (Since I haven't started a new one.)

So for that group 3 out of 5- But:

One of the 2 non subscribers was the GF of one of the subscribers. They lived together and shared an account.

The other of the 2 non subscribers was the room mate of one of the subscribers, so he just mooched off of the subscriber. (This is pretty much what he does with books as well.)

How many of those people spend time behind the DM screen for the group?

1.5

Mainly me, with one of the subscribers sometimes running 4e pickup games if I couldn't make it, but the rest of the group could.

How many are players only?

1.5 (see bove about pickup games.)

How many also keep up with the books in addition to the DDI?

Not sure what you mean here: As in have ALL of the books? Umm 1 I think.

have some of the books? All 3.

How many are books-only gamers?

Huh? If they're books only, why would they have a subscription?

How many are DDI-only gamers?

None... we don't really use the DDI at the table... On the rare times a rules question has arissen we've looked at physical books.
