WoW has some instinacing as well. I can see the point of it so you don't have another party following you and making the killing blow taking the XP. Does it say how DDO will handle the leveling? DnD has 20 levels while most other MMORPG have 40-60 or so.

Trust me, you want instanced dungeons or teh game would devolve into parties of adventurers fighting each other over the abilty to hunt a particular spot, or a camping nightmare liek Everquest. after 4 years of EQ and camping ghoulbane for 32 hours, I can assure you that it is NOT fun. Havign a mix of instancved dungeons and free for all hnting areas like WoW and CoH is teh way to go; having instanced dungeons in no way reduces the amount of meeting other adventurers, as you still need to form a party to go into the dungeon.

BTW, the City of Villains beta is rad, and it looks to an even funner game that CoH.
